Economic Services

The DeWitt Economics Service, ESP, is designed to meet the petrochemical industry's need for a multi-regional, internally consistent approach to manufacturing economics and technology evaluation. This approach features a presentation of economics throughout the petrochemical industry developed within an internally consistent framework of world regional economics. It utilizes relational costs of energy and feedstocks starting from a common basis then incorporating historic inter-regional relationships. Byproduct credits, variable and fixed costs, and capital costs are all presented in reasonable detail. The manufacturing economics models are issued in book and Lotus software formats.

In developing this service, DeWitt has combined in-house industry experience, technology assessment, and first hand gathered definition of marketplace factors. The results have then been field tested throughout DeWitt's vast array of global industry contacts to fine tune region specific costs and rates as well as market dispositions. The ESP is comprised of four basic petrochemical modules:

Ethylene & Derivatives
Benzene & Derivatives
Toluene-Xylenes & Derivatives
Propylene & Derivatives
