What's new at DeWitt?

The refining industry of the Atlantic Basin continues to evolve. Demand for gasoline is expected to decline, as more renewable fuels are blended and consumers favor more fuel efficient vehicles. As the world economy recovers, distillate demand is expected to grow, and many refineries’ hydrogen supplies could again become problematically short. These phenomena will have far-reaching effects on the global supplies of benzene, toluene and xylenes. Reformers directly or indirectly account for more than 50% of the Atlantic Basin’s benzene production and virtually all of the region’s toluene and mixed xylenes.

DeWitt has organized its fifth annual one-day Aromatics seminar to address the following topics:

  • What is the outlook for the global economy next year?
  • What does technical analysis predict for oil, gasoline and aromatics price trends in 2011?
  • What impact will declining demand for refinery octane have on supplies of benzene, toluene, and mixed xylenes?
  • How will new gasoline regulations impact aromatics supplies in the USA? What is the outlook for aromatics feedstocks?
  • How have the valuations of valuing toluene and xylenes changed - 2011 and beyond?
  • What is the outlook for the polyester chain?
  • What are growth and margin prospects for styrene, now that very little new investment is planned for the next 4 years?
