DeWitt & Company Inc., announces the publication of the 18th Annual Summary Report for its MTBE and Oxygenates Service.

This year’s edition recaps global market developments for 2005 as well as giving an in-depth look at the historical events that have impacted the oxygenates market since 1994. The 2005 Annual provides a comprehensive, in-depth look at the reformulated gasoline program in the US and the requirements of the Clean Air Act of 1990 that established MTBE as a main player in the clean air movement. Included in this coverage is a historical study of gasoline production and demand data since 1994, including production and consumption figures for oxygenates. Detailed coverage is also provided on the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT) that establishes the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) removing the Oxygenate Mandate and establishing a renewable fuels mandate.
